At last, I'm going to try and share some thoughts on "Bonding and Overcoming Language Barrier" in the older baby adoption. Beware, it's gonna be jumbled. So bear with me. I know many of you adoptive families are traveling SOON (we are SO excited for you!!) and you're probably like I was, searching for every/any bit of info to prepare. Let me first start by saying that EVERY adoption is different and EVERY child is unique. So I'll just share our experiences with you about Arsema and hopefully you'll find some of it beneficial.

I know I promised a post on "Bonding and Language with the Older Baby", but had to post this first just because it's a fun one. As you can see, Arsema loves the bongo drums!

Yep!, if in doubt and she's missing .... quickly check the tub! After having Naomi extremely fearful of water for the better part of two years of her life ... it's almost funny to have a daughter who is CRAZY for water! If she even hears the tub running water off in the distance and it's not for her .... look out!, crying fits for sure.

Okay, so I realize it's been about a MONTH since we've updated here. But truly we have been missing in "ACTION". What a crazy whirlwind of a month! We're going through some major life changes and at times it left us with our heads spinning. How Great our God is though and He has carried us through each step.
